Asked by Dina - Thu May 29 07:01:29 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. A public good is a good whose use by others is not diminished by any person. Specifically a good is a public good if no one could be excluded from use by some action of another and the good is not rivalrous, in other words the use of one does not diminish the use by another. An example of a public good is national defense. Your receipt of national defense is rival with others and isn't diminished by your neighbors use. Another example is the light from a street lamp. It would not happen, the economic repercussions with all those people being homeless would be devastating. No one wants that, and we all pay a lot of money to keep that from happening. Doubling the projects (the only actual public housing) would not lower the wait period. The tax burden would be tremendous, likely bankrupt the country, even though it look like Obama is determined to do that anyway. What would more likely happen is the strain on the prison system would be cut way down, as they would release the less dangerous inmates and put them into the projects, which is a lot cheaper then housing them in a prison. Even without the inmates I do not think the wait list would cut down, the amount of welfare fraud would simply… [cont.] Answered by Landlord - Thu May 7 10:12:27 2009 How to access public records regarding purchase of home?
