How much of your personal life do you talk about at work?
Q. I say little to nothing about my personal life at work. I go there, do my job, and leave. Those who blab out loud about their personal life at work in my own opinion are complete idiots and morons.

A. I don't say a word about my personal life at work. I like to keep my personal life on the down low when at work.

Do nurses have time for a personal life and time to start and raise a family?
Q. By personal life I mean time for dating, family and friends and by starting a family I mean getting married and having children. Can I have some info on a normal work week for a nurse? I know that hours are irregular.

A. Same thing Annabo said, only you DO have some control over your work schedule. Night nurses make more money but, unfortunately, it really screws up the days you have off. Some hospitals offer 12-hour shifts while others offer 8-hour shifts. Obviously, the 12-hour shifts are more exhausting but you really only need to do a few of them a week to be considered full time and get benefits. If you worked days, even if you did four 12-hour shifts a week, it would leave a litle bit of free time for dating, but not much more than that. The last day of your 12-hour shift you probably arent going to want to go out that night after work, and the night before you are scheduled to work 12 hours the next day would be a wash-out too. You wouldnt… [cont.]

How can I stop telling everyone about my personal life?
Q. I mean I don't tell just anyone my personal life but I mean friends. I don't feel comfortable telling even my most intimate friends about my personal life. However I can never stop. Everyone says its good to vent but I don't feel comfortable. How can I keep these things to myself without having the need to tell someone?
Asked by Genie - Sun Jan 25 18:48:34 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Write it down in a journal. Sometimes you just need to vent, and its more discreet this way, because your thoughts will be left out and you won't have to feel uncomfortable (:

How can I keep my personal life private at work without others taking in it in a bad way?
Q. There is alot of drama at work (which I'm sure most of you can relate to). How can I come to work and not get involve. There girls here are girls I known for many years so we all have a close relationship. I really want to just keep my personal life private. How do I answer when they ask me questions without sounding rude or mean?
Asked by Sandy - Mon Oct 5 12:57:13 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Boy, can I relate. I would just say you have to get back to work when they ask questions. If they ask what's up then ask, then let them know you are trying to focus on work. It is less of what you say and more HOW you say it. Say it in a friendly calm way. Good luck.

A. Umm. when i was younger i used to get physically abused, and i was really emotional while i was growing up. Now that i'm older, i've come to terms with what happened to me, and i've learned to talk about it with my parents. The best thing for someone to do in those type of situations is to get out of that type of lifestyle, and don't see it as a downfall, but as motivation.

Is work more important than a personal life?
Q. I spent 4 and a half years making work my priority, in the last 10 months that changed and personal things became more important. Now my personal life rules my world its affecting my ability to work at my current job, should I throw in my job which I can't handle anymore so I can sort out my personal life. I fear if my job gets any worse or I can't offload some of my responibilities I'm going to end up 6ft under. I do like my job some of the time and have a good boss. But its time for me to live my life, but will throwing in my job ruin my life? Which one is more important?

A. A job is one of the most important things that you will ever do or have.Without a job you won't have much of a personal life, cause you won't be able to afford to do the fun things.Never throw in the towel. We all go through the down times in a job.Maybe ask for a week or two off from your doctor. You may just need a break.Very common. We all need a break from our jobs, but there is other ways around it instead of being just a bum.Figure out if a few weeks will help you.Talk to your boss they can be understanding of it.They are only human too.

Is talking about my personal life at work inappropriate?
Q. Is it inappropriate to talk about my personal life at work? One of my co-workers told me it is and I wonder if she's right or if she is blowing it out of proportion. I've heard other co-workers talking about their personal lives. I was talking about some of my health and dental problems and a disagreement I was having with my boyfriend. Do co-workers get uncomfortable if I talk about things that are considered too personal? Maybe I'm too trusting of people and view my co-workers as friends.

A. It's ok to talk about some things that are private.. but remember.. I would only tell personal things about my life to someone I believe is interested. if they tell me about themselves.. and nothing they can use behind your back against you... It's ok to talk about family and other things during break time.. as I believe it's important to get to know ones colleagues to some extent.. so one should talk a bit about ones private life.. but not tell them everything so they know all the details and can read you like an open book.. it's good to have a nice work atmoshphere and to be able to share a joke.. and to mention some things about ones private life.. Your co-worker is partly right .. but not entirely.. it depends what about your private… [cont.]

how was the personal life of shkespeare important in the elisabethan times?
Q. how was his personal life attached to his plays. did his personal life inspire his plays and poems? pleseee anything will be very useful!
Asked by uhm - Sat Apr 4 15:27:35 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Very little is known of Shakespeare's life. There are not many facts and so to assume that anything in the plays is biographical is really question of believe. But most writer's do draw on personal experience when writing so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that something of his personal experience would be in the some of the plays. Scholars seem to think that the sonnets might be more biographical. Several of his plays take place in Italy, some have suggested that this is so because he had traveled there. But again there is no prove that that was the case.

What will lack of sleep do to my health life and personal life?
Q. I am a 22 year old man and working as a marine agent at port authoirty. Basically what that means is anytime (day or night) a ship comes in, I have to be at the port for their arrival and departure. Needless to say, I average about 3 hours of sleep a night. This is a very high stress job and exhausting. The only thing that keeps me going with this job is the money and the fact that I have no car payment, cell phone payment, gas costs, or internet payments. The benefits are nice but what are the effects lack of sleep will have on my body and personal life and is it really worth it?
Asked by Greg K - Wed May 30 12:18:07 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your body uses sleep to re-fuel and repair damage done from everyday stress. Without sleep, your body doesn't fully recover and you will see signs of it later on. Money isn't everything, enjoy your youth and health while you've still got them.

Q. I was wondering about William Shakespeare about how come i never read any thing about his personal life.
Asked by Monty H - Tue May 5 09:34:46 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. We don't know a great deal about Shakespeare's personal life. He was christened on April 26, 1564, a fact that leads most scholars t conclude that he was born on the 23rd, since babies at that time were customarily christened when they were three days old. His parents were John Shakespeare, a glove-maker, and Mary Arden. At eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway, who was a few years older than he, and their first child, Susannah, was born about six months later. he and Anne later had twins, Hamnet and Judith (1585). He left his home town, Stratford-upon-Avon, while he was still very young and became involved with the theatrical company, the Lord Chamberlain's Company, for which he wrote his plays. His son Hamnet died in 1596. After the… [cont.]

How can we clearly recognise our personal life purpose (or heart desire)?
Q. Assuming we have a personal life purpose to carry out while enjoying life on this planet, how can we access the information? All answers are welcome but I would really appreciate tried and tested practical ways that have worked for you.
Asked by ufo34 - Tue Mar 18 22:54:52 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Unless you assume a God, the question of life s purpose is meaningless. Bertrand Russell So philosophically, God is the only answer for real purpose. If we reject God then we've rejected the only possible source of real purpose. Our human nature demands that we live a life worth living and things that have no purpose have no worth. Therefore, if we reject God, we must at least try to obtain a feeling of having a purpose. So you may be asking how we can deceive ourselves into thinking we have real purpose when we don't. Self deception is really a topic for Y!A psychology. The primary answer would be to keep busy so we don't have the time to think about a purposeless existence.

A. This is a good question. Alexander was always at the forefront of his army; thus, he was wounded by just about every weapon used in ancient warfare. An arrow wound to the chest almost certainly caused him a hemopneumothorax in 326-325 BC. He undoubtedly picked up multiple infections on campaign such as dysentery and malaria. I doubt he was poisoned at the end. Ancient and medieval people often misconstrued infections for poison because they had no idea about bacteria. He was also said to drink alcohol. They only had wine and beer then. I believe he died of infection, probably malaria with complications. As for his social life, he was likely bisexual. That was common for Greek/Macedonians in that time period. He did have a political… [cont.]
