Nounchemistry (countable and uncountable; plural chemistries)
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Chemistry (the etymology of the word has been much disputed) is the science of matter and the changes it undergoes. The science of matter is also addressed by physics, but while physics takes a more general and fundamental approach, chemistry is more specialized, being concerned with the composition, behavior, structure, and properties of matter, as well as the changes it undergoes during chemical reactions. It is a physical science which studies of various atoms, molecules, crystals and other aggregates of matter whether in isolation or combination, which incorporates the concepts of energy and entropy in relation to the spontaneity of chemical processes. Disciplines within chemistry are traditionally grouped by the type of matter being studied or the kind of study. These include inorganic chemistry, the study of inorganic matter; organic chemistry, the study of organic (carbon based) matter; biochemistry, the study of substances found in biological organisms; physical chemistry, the study of chemical processes using physical concepts such as thermodynamics and quantum mechanics; and analytical chemistry, the analysis of material samples to gain an understanding of their chemical composition and structure. Many more specialized disciplines have emerged in recent years, e.g. neurochemistry the chemical study of the nervous system (see subdisciplines). From Wikipedia under the

Q. calculate the [Ag] required to just start precipitation of Ag2CO3 in a 0.0030M solution of (NH4)2CO3 Asked by Harmony S - Mon Jan 28 23:06:31 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. This is double displacement so it's mole for mole. The Ag and NH4 will ultimately just trade places so 0.0030 moles if molarity = moles/liters. I am doing a project on Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialists, based around chemistry, and I'm having trouble explaining where chemistry plays a large part. Is there anything to do with gases or electrical currents maybe? Perhaps the blasting cap or fuse from an explosive should be mentioned ? Chemistry of computers Which one should I do? Which one seem the easiest and the most interesting to you? Asked by Kevin dOan - Mon Dec 28 13:39:02 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. Organic is by far the easiest, as most (if not all) of the work you do in that field revolves around around one element -- Carbon. Unfortunately, organic chemistry tends to get boring after a while. Forensics is probably more interesting.
